August in Fort Wayne will see the annual Buskerfest. This event in downtown Fort Wayne will occur on the first Saturday of the August 2011. What is a "busker"? Busking is the practice of performing in public places for gratuities that passersby throw into a hat or give to an assistant who collects tips. People engaging in this practice are called buskers or street performers. Busking performances can include juggling, magic tricks, mime, musical performance, street art (sketching and painting, etc.), street theatre, and other activities.
